Blogging is about community.
Blogging is about sharing.
Blogging is about being supportive of each other.
Is blogging about the numbers or statistics?
As the ProBlogger conference descends this week in Queensland, I sometimes wonder whether it is a “Catch-22″.
Do you need the numbers of followers before you get the attention of the big brands? Or is the small community that finds you enough to be successful?
Everyone blogs for different reasons.
To be a writer. To create a blog to compliment their business. For the blog to be their business. To share stories. To be a journal of their lives.
While I love blogging, I have changed direction in my blog to suit my needs at the moment.
Writing for the love of it. Not because I feel I am the next Stephen King or J.K.Rowling.
I will never be a huge blogger. I am too guarded. Too wary of the consequences. Many times I have tried writing about what is going on in my life, but the draft always falls short.
Yet my small amount of readers always drop by to remind me that just when I start to think about quitting, I get a lovely comment or tweet, that keeps me going that little bit further.
I have a book giveaway for my readers this week so don’t forget to enter HERE. You have got to be in it to win it!!
